The 2011 BMW 7 Series have been officially  announced for the North American auto market. Boasting the BMW’s mighty inline-6 engine, which produces V8 power on six-cylinder fuel consumption, the two newcomers – BMW 740i and BMW 740Li excels in great balance of power, efficiency, and sporty driving dynamics. Both sedans will go on sale as 2011 models in Spring 2010. The price tag will be available near to the on-sale date.

The 2011 BMW 740i and 740Li luxury sedans feature BMW’s internationally acclaimed twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine with up-rated output of 315 horsepower at 5800 rpm and 330 lb-ft of torque from 1600-4500 rpm. All-aluminum construction, High Precision direct fuel injection, Double-VANOS variable camshaft technology, and Brake Energy Regeneration are some of the highlights used under the BMW EfficientDynamics philosophy to place the 740i and 740Li among the most athletic six-cylinder luxury vehicles in the world.

Hofele-Design presents its latest luxury project which transforms the elegant VW Phaeton into a striking limousine named – Mythos. The full name of the new conversion is Hofele Mythos Royal 12, but the number may change depending on the cylinders that the car has.

Some exterior highlights of the new conversion are the rectangular bonnet / hood with big chromed Bentley-like front grill and a newly formed front bumper. The rear end of the vehicle is restyled with a distinctive rear apron with integrated trapezoidal tailpipes,  new trunk / boot and a small spoiler lip. The Mythos visual impact is further strengthened by the two colour paint finish inspired from the Maybach limousines and the exclusive two-piece alloys is size 8,5J x 20-inch on the front axle and 10J x 20-inch on the rear axle engraved with special Mythos title.

The refined Volkswagen Phaeton has Hofele’s ETS lowering module, which lowers the independent limousine with some 40mm. The stock V6 3.0 TDI engine now is capable to produce the amazing 275 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque.

The Hofele Mythos interior follows the exterior line of the luxury newcomer with noble two-coloured leather upholstery, additional wooden applications, reworked steering wheel and luxury cars-like central analogue clock finished in 30th century style.

2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet is ready for its show up at the forthcoming North American International Auto Show 2010 in Detroit. The two-door soft-top cabrio sales are scheduled to start on 11 January 2010.

Developed with the motto “four seasons, four personalities”, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet is here to offer an amazingly joyful ride whether the roof is open or closed. Stowed in a special section behind the rear panel, the waterproof and windproof, 23.5 mm thick soft top can be opened and closed fully within 20 seconds at speeds of up to 40 km/h. The new CLK convertible substitute is available with different power units, which excels in efficiency and performance.

The new soft-top model is further fitted with an innovative system that greatly reduces the turbulence in the interior of the new Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet, creating a sea of warm air. Ahead of the launch in spring 2010, Citroën has released prices and specification details for its most hotly anticipated model to date – DS3. Citroën has also unveiled an online configurator that allows members of the public to create their perfect DS3.

DS3 is an assertive, urban 3-door supermini with radical styling, elegant detailing and an extensive choice of customisable design options for a bespoke driving experience. DS3 is the first model from Citroën’s new DS line, which will consist of three distinctively styled, attention grabbing cars – DS3, DS4 and DS5 – that highlight the very best of Citroën’s ‘Créative Technologie’.

DS3 will be offered in three new Citroën trim levels – DSign, DStyle and DSport – with a choice of three petrol and two HDi diesels ranging from 90hp to 150hp. All three DS3 petrol engines were co-developed with BMW.

An environmentally considerate 99g/km 1.6HDi 16V 90hp will also be available – delivering up to 74.3mpg.

The DS3 range starts with the petrol 1.4 16V VTi 95hp in DSign trim, which is priced from just £11,700.

The price of a fully specified, fully personalised, range-topping DSport model, powered by the punchy 1.6 THP 150hp petrol engine, is £18,775.

Due to great customer interest in the model, Citroën has taken the exceptional step of launching an online DS3 configurator – significantly in advance of the car’s on-sale date – so future owners can create their perfect DS3, based on their own performance and style preferences.

Customers start using the configurator by selecting the engine and trim level for their DS3. Then, depending on these initial choices, they can specify body colour, roof colour and roof graphics, as well as a host of other features like chrome door mirrors, chrome rubbing strips, up to 17” alloy wheels in different styles and colours, front LEDs, upholstery material and colour scheme, and even one of six colours for the dashboard and gear knob.

BMW Group has announced the BMW Concept ActiveE, an all-electric study vehicle developed to provide great driving experience with minimum environmental impacts. The world debut of the BMW Concept ActiveE will be held at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2010 in Detroit.

Based on the sporty 1 Series Coupe, the emissions-free concept represents another milestone in BMW’s path for achieving CO2-free mobility. Just like in the electric vehicle test program for MINI E, the new BMW ActiveE will be delivered to interested customers which will have the opportunity to test it in real, everyday traffic. The ActiveE’s distinctive exterior can be easily recognized from the production BMW 1 Series Coupe by the Liquid White metallic paint finished with Electric Blue graphic elements, rear end with completely closed apron and the aerodynamically optimized, two-tone 18-inch light alloys wrapped in special tyres with blue rings.

The smart packaged BMW 1 Series derivative offers four full-size seats and luggage capacity of 200 litres. Its power comes from a specially developed for the model and located in the rear axle, electrical motor, which is capable to produce 125 kW/170 hp and 250 Nm / 184 lb-ft of maximum torque. The acceleration from zero to 100 km/h lasts less than 9 seconds (0-60 mph in approx. 8.5 seconds).

The electric unit draws its energy from an exclusively developed for the project, advanced lithium-ion battery pack with own liquid cooling system and intelligent battery management system. Despite its output and capacity, the battery pack strikes with outstanding compactness. It enables a range of about 160 km / 100 miles on a single charge, depending on driving conditions.

When it comes to recharging, the high-performance battery control system allows recharging from a range of different power sources, which means that the vehicle is not dependent on a specific charging station and energy of varying power levels can be fed into the battery pack according to availability.
